In Ruby Class we enjoy learning and working together as a team. We strive to respect one another and to celebrate and understand our similarities and differences. We work as hard as we can at a level that is just right for each of us.

One of the special jobs in Ruby class is that we take it in turns to be the Class Leader and this means we are the number one teacher helper all day. We can choose who we like to help us with this job. We also are rewarded for good manners, sensible behaviour and hard work with raffle tickets and a prize draw each week. . We wanted you to know that we all have our own drawer to keep our stuff in.

We are helped every morning by Mrs Wakefield, and Mrs Evans helps us on Tuesday and Thursdays.

We have fun studying interesting topics and are currently finding out about water. We love to do art and other creative activities.

We have homework every week based on our topic, which gets put into a special book, so that by the end of the year we will have a fantastic portfolio of work that we have created.

March 2013

Several people have been into our class to talk about the job's they do in the community. We have spoken to Mrs Terry who is a school governor and Mr King who is the new Rector of St. Lawrences Church. We also heard all about the work that Barry does with young people in Stroud.

We asked lots of questions and found out some interesting facts.

Here is our class representative shaking hands with Nicky after she came to speak with us about her exciting job as a PCSO.(Police Community Support Officer)
