Year 5/6: Aventurine 2026 - 2027
Miss Archbold
In Aventurine Class, we believe that having a positive attitude and trying our best will result in our best work. Not only do we have high expectations in our behaviour and attitude to learning, children are encouraged (with support) to take risks. This may be through stepping outside their comfort zone, through challenging their own thoughts and exploring ideas or through persevering and learning through mistakes. In Aventurine we try, even when we are not sure that we will succeed!
Important information:

Our class teacher is Miss Archbold and our class TA in the mornings is Miss Taylor.

Our PE days are Mondays and Thursdays - children should come to school already dressed in their PE kit on these days.

We provide all equipment in school so own pencil cases and stationery are not needed.

Children can bring home a book from our class library to read and we encourage all children to make reading a part of their daily routine. This can be recorded in your child's reading record.

It is important that the children practise their times tables and regularly use DoodleMaths to consolidate their mathematical skills. There are also many ideas for topic homework linked to our current topic posted below.
