Welcome to Emerald Class
Welcome to Emerald Class! We are a happy, hardworking and supportive class where we aim to learn something new every day, challenge ourselves and, most importantly, enjoy our learning. As Year 6, we have an exciting year ahead of us and we are looking forward to making lots of special memories along the way.
Year 6 is an important year as we prepare the children for the next stage of their education. We will encourage them to become confident, independent and responsible learners, ready to make the move to secondary school happily and confidently. We will challenge them to take pride in their work, persevere when things are difficult and support one another as a team.
We will continue to follow our school values and expect everyone in Emerald Class to be kind, respectful, responsible and safe. We are proud of the way our children look after themselves, each other and our classroom.
Our class teacher is Mr Rogers who is ably supported by Mrs Derrick, Miss Whiddett, Mrs Howard and (on Fridays) Mrs Yeomans.
This year promises to be a busy and exciting one, with SATs, our residential trip, special Year 6 events and plenty of opportunities to celebrate the children's achievements. Above all, we want Emerald Class to be a place where children feel happy, valued and confident to have a go.
We are really looking forward to an exciting year together and to helping every child in Emerald Class finish Year 6 feeling proud of what they have achieved and ready for their next adventure.
