Conscience Alley - The Highwayman

The photos show Ella( pretending to be a highwayman) walking the pathway between two sides of the class. One side was persuading her to stay a highwayman and the others were totally against her remaining a highwayman.

The children's arguements were really thoughtful, here are some of their persuasive thoughts:

Remember the government took being a highman very seriously - you would be hung.

Merchents travelled by coaches and they had a lot of money. You need to act quickly, as banks were being built.

Your'll need a horse- but these aren't that expensive and you can get guns easily.

If you hadn't got a job after the war - this could be the one for you.

The redcoat army are looking out for you- so go carefully.

The are ransom posters everywhere for highwaymen - there is a price on your head. Look out!

Ella decided that she would Not want to be a highwayman.
