We lay on the woodland floor and looked at the sky through the bare trees and then through the emerging canapy of the great Sycamores. We will be back to see how dark it will get and think about what we are learning about  rainforest life. Thank you to the lovely mum that packed us delicious Flapjack to help us on our way.

Flying to Brazil!

Date: 16th Apr 2024 @ 2:45pm

What a fun day we had last week. We dressed to go to a hot country, brought packed suitcases to travel and had passports to hand. The air stewards were ready for us to board our flight.

Materials

Date: 16th Mar 2024 @ 3:35pm

After  an interesting lesson on materials we had an afternoon observing and investigating matirals. We had to make a mop for the character in this weeks story. We had a lolly stick, masking tape and a vast choice of materials. Once we had decided what material we would use we had to predict if it could mop up 10 drops of water. Once made we put 10 drops of water on the table so all testing was fair. We quickly found that  feathers and felt didn't mop but j cloth and kitchen roll does.

What a great day we had with Tamsin from Stroud Valley’s project. We were trying to discover how animals keep warm in the winter especially a hedgehog. We made nests.a nd put hot watter bottles inside a puppet hedgehog. We left them to play a game and have hot chocolate. We were surprised how hot they stayed compared with poor BERT who was in the cold.
