What a great day we had with Tamsin from Stroud Valley’s project. We were trying to discover how animals keep warm in the winter especially a hedgehog. We made nests.a nd put hot watter bottles inside a puppet hedgehog. We left them to play a game and have hot chocolate. We were surprised how hot they stayed compared with poor BERT who was in the cold.

We were very excited to meet our Year 6 book buddies. Throughout the year we will meet up and read and play together.

Today we had 15 children in school during our soft start week. Miss Nesbitt read Spinderella to us and then we had fun making our own spiderweb. We had to make sure we didn’t get stuck in our spider web and practised jumping around. We then made our own spiders for the web and practise cutting out.

To finish off our first half term in Sunshine and Rainbow class we had a fun filled morning of Pumpkin soup. The children spent the morning doing lots of different pumpkin themed activities. They made pumpkin soup, wrote a recipe and designed their own pumpkins.
