Our book in Literacy is ' Creeping Beauty' by Joseph Cohelo - a fairytale gone bad- a twisted fairytale base on the much loved story of Sleeping Beauty. The children took based in a drama session using the Shakespearean 'Whoosh' technique. With just a few props they all took part ina full retelling of the original story. They enjoyed it so much, they asking me if we can do it again!

What a pleasure it was to welcome the new Quartz Class into their new classroom today. To help us get to know eachother a little better, we made and showcased a fabulous collection of outfits all made out of paper and tape! It was wonderful to see the creative energy and bravery that the children brought to the challenge.

What a great time we all had on our overnight stay at school. The children enjoyed taking part in the range of activites on offer. There was fimo clay where the children created wonderful keyrings; team building games; mario kart on the switch and even a huge bouncy castle! Lots of the children and Mrs Barrett enjoyed the kareoke machine that Vinny provided. During the evening, we tucked in to a yummy BBQ follwed by a delicious ice lollie. Much later on, we settled down for a film with poporn before we finally attempted to go to sleep! It was a lovely experience for all the children and we hope they all had lots of fun!
